Storyteller
During my studies, I worked on a team project to develop a game called “Storyteller”. This game is still a prototype and was developed in Unity. I was mainly responsible for the implementation of the dungeons. This includes the character controls, the combat system and the enemy AI.
The game puts the player in the role of a nameless journalist who ends up in the afterlife after a plane crash. There he has to struggle with severe memory loss. To navigate this mysterious spirit realm without losing themselves, players must unlock memories and collect the stories of other characters, including deceased crew members and passengers on the plane. These stories are represented by dungeons, each with a unique style that reflects the character it represents. What’s more, the dungeons are randomly generated with each playthrough. Only by piecing together these stories can the player solve the puzzle of the mysterious events.
